The Disconnected Islands

“Hey there. I'm Zach, the founder of Dimension of Thought. Originally, I created this space because the many communities in my life existed as isolated islands. My family didn't know my school very well, my school didn't know my church, and my church didn't know my family.”

In our current era, social media forces us to fragment our personal reality. We post professional milestones on LinkedIn, fleeting snapshots on Instagram, and casual banter on group chats. But a Person is not a bundle of disconnected profiles. A Person is an indivisible, sacred whole.

“We live in an age of maximum connectivity and minimum coherence. We are surrounded by millions of nodes, yet starved for relational wholeness.”

I realized this website could not just be a static personal portfolio or a sterile academic repository. It needed to become a home—a digital embodiment of human life where science, mathematics, faith, art, and friendship meet under one constellation.

Publishing the Construction Site

“You might wonder why so many ideas here are actively unfolding in the open. Ah, you'd be surprised at the reason why! It's because I believe there is much more to sharing than just polished and finished work.”

In conventional culture, we are trained to hide the scaffolding, sweep away the sawdust, and only unveil the finished building when everything looks immaculate. But when you only present the final product, people are merely spectators. When you share the construction site, people become co-builders.

Whether developing the C++20/WebGPU architecture for Earthcall or wrestling with questions in moral ontology, building in public ensures that the heart remains honest, humble, and open to community wisdom.
